One room warmer than the rest? Start with the pattern.

A room-by-room record helps explain a comfort problem before you choose equipment.

Describe what changes

Record which rooms are uncomfortable, the time of day and whether doors are open or closed. Note when the problem began and whether it followed a renovation or equipment change.

Consider the whole home

Duct condition, insulation, sunlight and airflow can all be part of a comfort assessment. A larger air conditioner is not automatically the answer. Ask what measurements support any proposed change.

Bring the observations to your visit

A technician can use your notes to focus the assessment. Request a written explanation of the finding, the proposed work and how its result will be checked. You can start with a diagnostic visit before deciding on replacement.

Have a question about your own system?

A guide helps you prepare. A diagnostic visit gives you answers about the equipment in your home.
